Five Ways to Wear Print – The High-Low Project

Gentlemen,

As a follow up to my original post “What’s in your Closet this summer – Prints“, Here’s how to wear them. The fashion site, Mr. Porter, made popular to me by GQ, made a feature on how to wear prints. Being that not all of my readers make millions a year – as of now, i’m making this post which shows you how to wear them and get them for a much more affordable rate. I try to make each piece less than $100 and all are from one of the three most popular shopping sites among men, Topman, Zara, and Asos.

1. Print Trousers

This entire outfit costs $2700 from Mr. Porter. Below is a similar look for less.

Trousers – $79.90 Zara; Plimsoll Shoes – $20.87 Asos; Polo Shirt – $36 Topman

2. Print Shirt (Short Sleeve)

This entire outfit costs – $1055 from Mr Porter. Below is a similar look for less.

River Island Aztec Shirt – $43.49 Asos; Tailored Shorts – $70 Topman; Roman Sandals – $79.90 Zara

3. Print Tee

This entire outfit costs – $1250 from Mr Porter. Below is a similar look for less.

African Print Tee – $29.90 Zara; Chinos – $60 Topman; Tassel Loafers – $69.58 Asos

4. Print Shirt (Long Sleeve)

This entire outfit costs – $2215 from Mr Porter. Below is a similar look for less.

Aztec Print Shirt – $59.14 Asos; Pique Blazer – $79.90 Zara

5. Print Jacket

This entire outfit costs – $2260 from Mr Porter. Below is a similar look for less.

Blazer – $99.90 Zara; Tee – $14 Topman; Shoes – $86.98 Asos

I hope you like. Please feel free to let me know what you think, and how you plan to wear prints this summer.

Thanks for reading!

The Treasure Gentleman,

Love the post, I like how you took Mr. Porter’s combo and gave an alternative (less expensive) option!

Although, one criticism, there are other brands than Zara, Topman & ASOS 😉

It’s amazing how many emerging designers do quality clothing yet go under the radar because they don’t have the marketing & advertising capability. Great job nonetheless!

    • Thanks a lot for reading and for your comment Kulkimoose.
For this post i decided to got with those three labels because of their popularity and price, but i’m very open to learning about other emerging designers. Please feel free to pass this information unto me if you know of any!
